Key initiatives

We are involved in the following key initiatives at the moment:

Energy Saving Week

Energy Saving Week is designed to promote energy saving action among householders through a concentrated programme of events across the UK, via a range of partner organisations and the Energy Saving Trust's network of regional advice centres.

This years theme is `Green / Life Balance', which draws on the importance of time - knowing that we are getting busier, working harder and have less time to do the things we want to do and are simply find it too stressful to be fit being green into our daily lives.

Local advice network

In response to the challenge laid down in the Government's Energy White Paper, the Energy Saving Trust has developed a network of local advice centres across the UK.

Funded by Defra, BERR and the Scottish Government, these centres provide citizens with practical advice on sustainable energy and transport, renewables, water conservation and waste reduction at a regional level.

New services from the Energy Saving Trust

We know that people don't compartmentalise environmental issues, therefore we are expanding the suite of advice and support it provides to consumers to now include not only energy efficiency, renewables and sustainable travel choices, but also water conservation and waste reduction.
